FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ Universal Insurance Holdings Inc. (UVE) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $33.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company said it had profit of 94 cents.
The property and casualty insurance company posted revenue of $169.8 million in the period.
Universal Insurance shares have dropped 10 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $20.87, a drop of 25 percent in the last 12 months.
